What is CDAP?
Canada Digital Adoption Program — federal grant of up to $15,000 plus a $100,000 interest-free BDC loan to help SMBs adopt digital technology.
The Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) is a federal grant administered by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. It provides Canadian businesses with up to $15,000 to develop a digital adoption plan, plus access to an interest-free $100,000 loan from BDC.
Eligibility
- Incorporated in Canada
- 1 to 499 full-time employees
- At least $500,000 in revenue in one of the last 3 years
- Active CRA business number
What's covered
The grant reimburses 90% of fees paid to a CDAP-approved digital advisor (capped at $15K) to produce a digital adoption plan. The plan can cover:
- E-commerce setup
- Payment processing modernization
- CRM, ERP, inventory systems
- Cybersecurity tools
- Cloud migration
- Analytics and AI tools
Common mistakes
Most CDAP applications get rejected for being too generic. Plans need specificity about *your* operational gaps — not boilerplate.
